The purpose of community groups is to help our Cornerstone congregation build community and friendships around Christ through fellowship, reading the Bible, and praying together. A typical community group lasts 1.5 to 2 hours and might include (30~ minutes each):
- Coffee, snacks, and time to visit
- Reading and discussing the Bible together
- Prayer in men’s and women’s groups
Scheduling: The groups will typically follow the school year, September to May. We usually take off one week a month and take a nice break for the Holidays. Summer is optional depending on the needs of the group. Check out current Community Groups here.
Leadership: To teach, lead, and facilitate a community group you must be a member of the church, spiritually mature, and approved by the Board of Elders. You do not have to be a member to host. Leaders are encouraged to raise up new leaders to grow and multiply groups.
