Welcome to Cornerstone Next Gen!
We are a ministry here at Cornerstone that serves our students and kiddos from ages zero up to their high school graduation. We have lots of things that go on week to week, but Sunday and Thursday are the hotspots at Cornerstone.
A Typical Sunday Morning
10:00 am – All ages meet in our sanctuary upstairs for a time of worship, prayer, and a sermon led by our pastor, an elder, or a guest preacher. We do offer child care for our friends under the age of five during this time, but for those older, we ask that you keep them upstairs with the rest of the family.
In the lobby, we have activity bags all children are welcome to take and play with during the service.
10:45 am – Small Groups! (party time).
Elementary – 1st – 5th grade (ages 5 – 12) Every Sunday morning we meet during the service to dive into the Bible, God’s love, and what it all means for us.
Middle and High School – 6th – 12th grade (ages 12- 18) Come dive deeper into the sermon with other teens during the break-out portion of our church service.
11:25 am – All small groups meet back upstairs (nursery and toddlers are returned to their parents) and we share with the adults what our big idea of the day was.
Here at Cornerstone, we value the power of working together and learning from each other. Our goal is to create an interconnected environment at Cornerstone for all ages of kids (birth through high school), intentionally fostering an environment where kids interact and help each other thrive in their everyday lives and their walks with God.
How do we do this? Once a month we have a special small group where we hang out as one big family, so all of our friends from ages zero to eighteen play some games, make friends, and dive into the Bible together.
Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers! Come join us every Thursday night of the school year for some games, snacks, hanging out, and diving into what the Bible is all about! 6:30 – 8:00 PM in person and 7:15 – 8:00 PM on zoom
Middle and High School – Once a month the high schools and middle school students hang out outside of church. We’ve had lots of fun in the past: sledding, baking cookies, having fire pits, watching movies, swimming, hiking, hanging out at the park, and various service projects. Check out our Instagram for what we have coming up next. @NextGen.Cornerstone
Elementary and Younger – Throughout the year we have special events for our youngest friends at Cornerstone, So keep an eye out for the next chalk day, sledding party, trunk or treat, or family cookout!
