COVID-19 Update (4/1/2023)

As we move into the warmer months, we are seeing less respiratory illness in the state and our community. We continue to ask members and attenders to be considerate of others, take care of themselves, if necessary, stay home, and join services virtually. Please feel free to wear face masks when appropriate. We look forward to worshipping together in good health!

COVID-19 Update (wearing a mask is recommended – 10/1/2022)

Our Cornerstone congregation has had a few members test positive for COVID-19 this week. Current CDC guidelines require that a person testing positive consider the day of the test as day 0 and then to isolate for the next 5 days. As long as they are fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication and their symptoms are improving, they may come out of isolation on day 6 but should wear a mask when around others through day…

COVID-19 Update (feel free to wear a mask if you feel it’s appropriate)

As COVID-19 cases decrease throughout the Commonwealth and the local areas, the Deacons appreciate the efforts of attenders to keep themselves and others safe. At this time, we encourage people to feel free to wear a mask if they feel it appropriate to do so and we recommend that folks stay home if they are not feeling well. We will continue to monitor the CDC and other public health guidelines and will make recommendations accordingly. We look forward to seeing your full-face smiles!…

Strongly Recommend Masks (5/14/22 Update)

The Middlesex County COVID-19 case rate has risen significantly in recent weeks. In accordance with CDC guidelines, the Deacons strongly recommend attenders to wear masks during indoor services and events until transmission rates return to low levels. Thank you.

How to Survive Enduring Uncertainty and Transition

Rashad Clemons was in the middle of a major transition when the pandemic struck. He’d recently moved back to the east coast with his family to become the new pastor of Reality Church Boston. The plan was to do a one-year handoff, in which he would be the pastor-in-residence and slowly receive responsibilities and leadership as the planting-pastor transitioned out. When the pandemic hit in the middle of this year, the plan had to change. Rashad remembers that he and…

Cornerstone COVID-19 Update / Feb 23, 2022

Cornerstone will be following state and town guidelines in regard to COVID-19 mitigation measures.  We will relax the mask requirement as of February 28th with mask-wearing optional for members and attenders beginning with the March 6th service. We strongly suggest that those who are not vaccinated continue to wear masks. We welcome others to wear masks as they feel the need. For the time being, we will maintain the current chair spacing configuration in the sanctuary. We suggest masks when in close proximity…

January 12th – Covid Safety Update

The Deacons recommend that Cornerstone worship in community and in person this Sunday, January 16th. At this time the weather forecast looks dry although quite cold on Sunday morning. Those of our members and attenders who recently tested positive for COVID-19 will have completed their isolation periods and, we pray, will have recovered and be feeling well. We ask that if others test positive or have known close contacts to follow the CDC and Department of Public Health guidelines attached…

January 4th, 2022 – Cornerstone Covid Safety Update

The health and safety of our Cornerstone community is of utmost importance to us. Therefore we are closely monitoring the COVID statistics and will be prepared to take any measures necessary to keep us safe. Currently, this includes requiring anyone aged 5 or older to wear a mask when inside the church building. We also have set the seats in the sanctuary in groupings of 2, 3, 4, and 5, set 6 feet apart, to encourage families to sit together…

Cornerstone Mask Policy

For our January 4th, 2022 Update, Click Here. Dear Church Family, Isn’t Covid no fun?! We are ready for it to be all gone, but it seems like the Lord is allowing for it to linger. As your elders and deacons, we have struggled to know how to best protect the church family from covid, while not over-doing it. We are not certain we have it right but have created the following plan to do the best we can. Due…

Jan 6th Announcement – Worshipping Online Because of Heating System Replacement

Hi Church & Visitors,   In response to noting a faint gas smell in the church this past Sunday (Jan 3rd, 2021), it has been determined that the Cornerstone heating systems need replacement. As we work toward accomplishing this and keeping our congregation safe, the church building will not be able to be used. We will revert to the online format that we used in the early months of the COVID-19 outbreak starting this Sunday, January 10th.    We welcome…
